Brandon A. Best, MSFS, MBA, FA/TM/GSR-AFTE
Brandon Best is the owner and Chief Forensic Scientist of Best Forensics. He began his forensic career at the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences (ADFS) where he was assigned to the Firearms & Toolmarks Section. While at ADFS, Brandon was stationed at the Montgomery and then Birmingham Regional Laboratories; serving nine years with the State. Mr. Best has examined over 1,300 cases, accounting for over 15,000 items of evidence, testifying 100 times in Circuit Court. Mr. Best holds a BS in Laboratory Science from Auburn University; a MS in Forensic Science from UAB; a MBA from LSU Shreveport; and holds all three (FA/TM/GSR) certifications offered by The Association of Firearms and Tool Mark Examiners (AFTE).
Dancy Sullivan, BS, BA
Dancy Sullivan is a Senior Scientist and Director of Defense Services at Best Forensics. She began her career as a Firearms Examiner with ADFS, where she achieved the position of Firearms & Tool Marks Section Chief of the Birmingham Regional Laboratory where she was also a sworn APOST officer. After thirteen years with ADFS, Dancy found better opportunities as a Firearms Examiner at the newly created Tuscaloosa Police Department Forensic Services Division where she served another three years. Mrs. Sullivan received her BS in Biology from The University of Alabama and her BA in Education from The University of Montevallo.
